GracePoint Church has a long history of worship and service to the community. Shortly after the city of Coppell was founded in 1890, this church was founded in 1896 with 19 charter members as Coppell Baptist Church. The first building was erected and dedicated in 1901. The church remained in this first building until 1948, when a new building was erected in then downtown Coppell, at the intersection of what is now Bethel and Coppell Roads. In the early 1970s, the name was established as First Baptist Coppell and the church moved to its current location on Denton Tap Road. Through the years devoted, caring people have always stood ready to minister to the community in the name of Jesus Christ. That spirit of love, compassion and care that characterizes Jesus' ministry on the earth is alive, well and flourishing in GracePoint today.
9:30 AM Sunday Mornings Followed by Life Groups & Age Graded Ministries
Each and every event at GracePoint goes toward fulfilling our goal of sharing the Gospel with all men and helping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We have activities for the whole family.
Giving is an act of obedience, giving God back a little of what He has so graciously given us. Every week we have an offering in our service, but many find online giving a better option for their family. Click the links below to setup and monitor your online giving.
If you have an need, prayer request, question about the Bible or the church, we are here to walk alongside and help. If you need a church to call home, we hope you will come and visit us on Sunday morning or drop by the Ark or Church Office during the week. We truly strive to be the church where shame meets grace.
Come Thursday, March 17 either from 10am to Noon OR from 1pm to 3pm to the Coffee Area (outside of the Ark) to help stuff eggs for our Easter Egg Hunt and other outreach projects. Please bring a bag or two of small, individually wrapped candy (that can fit in the eggs... like starbursts or tootsie rolls) with you. No peanut products allowed.
HELP WITH TORNADO CLEAN UP
They are still needing help with the clean up from December in Rowlett.
Saturday, March 19 from 12-4pm, join Our Calling with your entire family as we distribute items to the needy!
Meet at the OurCalling building at noon. We will pack gift bags of clothes, food and hygiene items. Volunteers will receive orientation instructions and then we will caravan to a few locations downtown where we will engage hundreds of homeless men and women with resources and the love of God.
