GracePoint Church has a long history of worship and service to the community. Shortly after the city of Coppell was founded in 1890, this church was founded in 1896 with 19 charter members as Coppell Baptist Church. The first building was erected and dedicated in 1901. The church remained in this first building until 1948, when a new building was erected in then downtown Coppell, at the intersection of what is now Bethel and Coppell Roads. In the early 1970s, the name was established as First Baptist Coppell and the church moved to its current location on Denton Tap Road. Through the years devoted, caring people have always stood ready to minister to the community in the name of Jesus Christ. That spirit of love, compassion and care that characterizes Jesus' ministry on the earth is alive, well and flourishing in GracePoint today.
9:30 AM Sunday Mornings Followed by Life Groups & Age Graded Ministries
Each and every event at GracePoint goes toward fulfilling our goal of sharing the Gospel with all men and helping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We have activities for the whole family.
Giving is an act of obedience, giving God back a little of what He has so graciously given us. Every week we have an offering in our service, but many find online giving a better option for their family. Click the links below to setup and monitor your online giving.
If you have an need, prayer request, question about the Bible or the church, we are here to walk alongside and help. If you need a church to call home, we hope you will come and visit us on Sunday morning or drop by the Ark or Church Office during the week. We truly strive to be the church where shame meets grace.
Join us for this Women's Bible Study on Thursdays at 7pm in The Loft! The Study will begin June 8 and go through August 3. No need to register, just plan to attend at Thursday the 8th. Here is some more information about the study:
"Organic Mentoring" by Sue Edwards and Barbara Neumann About the Study: Whether you have been dutifully discipled or no one has ever met with you, this study led by Becky Baker is for you. It will take us through the basics of mentoring, while hopefully erasing the idea that mentoring must look a certain way. This is a study for women in every age group--from Baby Boomers to Millenials and every generation in between. Our goal is to facilitate conversations between all generations and to discuss expectations of mentoring. The hope is for more connection and understanding between generations through these conversations. No matter what age we are, we God has given us the privilege and responsibility of mentoring the younger generation. This book will help to break down the barriers that intimidate us and give us a starting point as we begin our mentoring journey. We would LOVE to have you join us!
About Becky Baker: Becky is a newlywed who teaches 6th grade by day and is a student herself by night. She is pursuing a Master of Theology degree with an emphasis in Ministry to Women as a part-time student at Dallas Seminary. She is very passionate about bringing women in all phases of life together and she loves that the only qualification for being involved in women’s ministry is being a woman.
