GracePoint Church has a long history of worship and service to the community. Shortly after the city of Coppell was founded in 1890, this church was founded in 1896 with 19 charter members as Coppell Baptist Church. The first building was erected and dedicated in 1901. The church remained in this first building until 1948, when a new building was erected in then downtown Coppell, at the intersection of what is now Bethel and Coppell Roads. In the early 1970s, the name was established as First Baptist Coppell and the church moved to its current location on Denton Tap Road. Through the years devoted, caring people have always stood ready to minister to the community in the name of Jesus Christ. That spirit of love, compassion and care that characterizes Jesus' ministry on the earth is alive, well and flourishing in GracePoint today.
9:30 AM Sunday Mornings Followed by Life Groups & Age Graded Ministries
Each and every event at GracePoint goes toward fulfilling our goal of sharing the Gospel with all men and helping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We have activities for the whole family.
Giving is an act of obedience, giving God back a little of what He has so graciously given us. Every week we have an offering in our service, but many find online giving a better option for their family. Click the links below to setup and monitor your online giving.
If you have an need, prayer request, question about the Bible or the church, we are here to walk alongside and help. If you need a church to call home, we hope you will come and visit us on Sunday morning or drop by the Ark or Church Office during the week. We truly strive to be the church where shame meets grace.
The Institute is a class based program to equip you with the tools you need to follow Christ. The institute is primarily about equipping you with tools for everyday discipleship, not simply gaining more knowledge and becoming spiritually obese. The Institute is distinct from and supplemental to our worship services and adult groups. Take a look at the classes we're currently offering below.
New Believers Class
This class is for new believers who want to learn the basics of the Christian faith and the Christian life. It begins by explaining how to know for sure that you have eternal life through Jesus Christ. Then you learn how to develop and grow in your relationship with Jesus through reading the Bible, learning how to talk to God in prayer, and the importance of being part of a community of believers and sharing your faith in Jesus with other people.
Story Of The Bible | Part I
This series of classes show you how the Bible is one unified story. It will give you a framework for reading your Bible with confidence. It gives you the big picture of the Bible story so that when you read the Bible you know how the smaller pieces come together as one beautiful story of God and His plan for the world. This class will remove your confusion and your fears when it comes to reading the Bible.
