GracePoint Church has a long history of worship and service to the community. Shortly after the city of Coppell was founded in 1890, this church was founded in 1896 with 19 charter members as Coppell Baptist Church. The first building was erected and dedicated in 1901. The church remained in this first building until 1948, when a new building was erected in then downtown Coppell, at the intersection of what is now Bethel and Coppell Roads. In the early 1970s, the name was established as First Baptist Coppell and the church moved to its current location on Denton Tap Road. Through the years devoted, caring people have always stood ready to minister to the community in the name of Jesus Christ. That spirit of love, compassion and care that characterizes Jesus' ministry on the earth is alive, well and flourishing in GracePoint today.
9:30 AM Sunday Mornings Followed by Life Groups & Age Graded Ministries
Each and every event at GracePoint goes toward fulfilling our goal of sharing the Gospel with all men and helping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We have activities for the whole family.
Giving is an act of obedience, giving God back a little of what He has so graciously given us. Every week we have an offering in our service, but many find online giving a better option for their family. Click the links below to setup and monitor your online giving.
If you have an need, prayer request, question about the Bible or the church, we are here to walk alongside and help. If you need a church to call home, we hope you will come and visit us on Sunday morning or drop by the Ark or Church Office during the week. We truly strive to be the church where shame meets grace.
If you choose to print the form, you will need to print, fill out and mail or drop this form by GracePoint by December 1.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP SENIORS IN COPPELL FEEL EXTRA SPECIAL THIS CHRISTMAS?
There are senior adults in our community who are feeling left out, forgotten and alone during the holiday season. We want to show them Christ’s love and that they are special. There are 3 ways you can choose to help.
OPTION 1: MAKE A BASKET
Sign out a laundry basket from the Information Center and take a senior’s wishlist. In addition to the wishlist, purchase and place the following items in the basket before returning or delivering it.
Holiday Basket Basic Food Contents in Addition to Their Wishlist
1 box cereal or oatmeal 3 cans soup 2 cans fruit (in own juice) 6 cans vegetables 2 canned meats instant coffee or tea bags 1 box crackers 1 box instant potatoes 1 jar peanut butter 1 pkg. rice or mac & cheese 1 sugar free gelatin mix 1 sugar free pudding mix 2 ready to eat main dishes (e.g. Chicken & Dumplings) 1 roll paper towels 1 pkg. toilet paper 1 box laundry soap
If you are just making a basket, they must be returned to the church no later than Sunday, December 17. Feel free to add cellophane and bows to make your basket nicer.
There is only one wishlist per senior so if you take a list and do not return or deliver the basket, that senior will not get a gift this Christmas. So please only take a basket if you can help.
OPTION 2: DELIVER A BASKET
If your family or adult group would like to deliver baskets those can be picked up on Sunday, December 17 after the morning worship service. Once you pick up a basket you can contact the senior adult to schedule a time to deliver the basket sometime that week. All baskets must be delivered on or before December 22.
The senior will have expressed their preference on whether they’d like a visit or the basket just dropped off. If a visit has been requested, please spend a good amount of time with them as your presence may be the best present they get this year! Pray with and encourage them.
OPTION 3: MAKE & DELIVER A BASKET!!
Feel free to make and deliver a basket! Follow the Option 1 and 2 directions. Note you do not need to return the basket to the church, you can take it straight to your senior adult.
Contact Tina at email@example.com or (972)462-1643 if you have any questions or know a senior who would like to sign up to receive a basket.
