Children's Ministry Director
My family has attended GracePoint since 2005. My husband and I met in high school in Arkansas and got married after college. I have a B.A. in history with a minor in psychology as well as a teaching certificate. After working in banking for a number of years, I decided to pursue my desire to work with children and joined the Bright Beginnings Pre-School team a few years ago. I then transitioned into my current role as Children’s Director a little over a year ago and feel God has placed me exactly where I am called to serve. My husband Eddy and I have two wonderful children. Abigail who is 11 and Liam who is 6. They both attend Wilson Elementary.
I grew up in a Methodist church and became involved in Baptist life while attending the Baptist Student Union in college. During this time I began attending a Baptist church and was re-baptized. During this time, I also felt God calling me to missions, but I didn’t know in what capacity. Move forward almost 20 years and 4 mission trips later, I now see his plan isn’t for me to be a permanent missionary in a different country but instead to serve Him as a missionary on short-term trips. Most recently I returned to Rwanda where I was used to assist in developing children’s ministry programs on the other side of the globe! I look forward to working with ministries like this in the future as God continues to lead.
We have lived in Coppell since 2004 and enjoy our community. In my spare time (let’s face it moms, do we have spare time?) I enjoy reading a good book, watching movies with my family, George Coffee shop, and trying new restaurants in the DFW area with my Hubby.
