Thanks for visiting our website and reading my bio! I hope to meet you soon! I grew up right here in Coppell! This is my home, my city, and my people. I love Coppell and the awesome people of GracePoint Church. I still can’t believe that I get to serve and shepherd this church in my hometown! Christ saved me and transformed my life at the age of 17. Before that time, my arrogance and self-righteousness blinded me from seeing my need for a Savior. During high school, God graciously opened my eyes, showed me my sin, and offered me grace, forgiveness, and amazing love in Jesus Christ.
My first love is the Triune God. My greatest passion is knowing and walking with Him. There is nothing better and nothing higher. My entire life is oriented around knowing and living for him. I'm madly in love with my high school sweetheart, Erin, and my son, Judah Leon (named after Jesus, the Lion of Judah!). You HAVE to meet them! Your life will be so much better!
I started attending GracePoint in the fall of 2010 and have been on staff at GracePoint since May of 2011. Before becoming the Lead Pastor, I served as the Student Ministry Director and Associate Teaching Pastor. I love GracePoint because it is a Christ-centered church that passionately strives to make disciples of Jesus in Coppell and beyond. We aim to be real, deep, hospitable, holy, biblical, Christ-centered, and missional. We strive to be a place where everyone can experience the grace and love of God. I would love for you to join our church family. We've saved a seat for you at the table!
-I love coffee and prefer a dark roast with chocolate almond milk.
-My favorite book of the Bible is the Gospel of John. I think it's the greatest thing ever written.
-Erin and I love spicy foods of many kinds. You can often find us at Anamias tex-mex restaurant on weekends.
-I played baseball for OU and was drafted by the LA Dodgers in the 2009 MLB draft as a shortstop.
-I can freestyle rap about almost any topic (sort of).
-My favorite way to relax is to share a good meal with friends and family.
