Where to start? I love the Trinity. I love Christ and his church. I love my family, and you should really get to know them. Karen, my wife, is beautiful, kind, extremely talented, and has a wealth of knowledge and experience with many, many things. My daughter, Taddie, attends Wheaton College and has, oh, four or five majors along with an overwhelming number of volunteer roles. My son, James, is crazy smart, has a razor-sharp wit, and quietly serves all over the church. I love the saints who’ve gone before us, the shoulders we stand on, especially my fourth-century mentor Athanasius. Someday he’ll correct all the misperceptions I have about his writings, which were brilliant and deeply pastoral. I love seeing people who can do things I could never do, which keeps me humble and greatly appreciative of God’s amazing work. I love the mission of this church and the commitment of the congregation to labor for it. I like coffee. I detest everything about peanut butter but love the people who, for whatever reason, enjoy it.
