Bright Beginnings Director
My family and I were thrilled to join GracePoint Church in the summer of 2018. We have been in the Coppell community for 17 years. It feels good to truly worship and serve at home.
My journey began in Brenham, Texas where I was blessed to grow up in a loving, Christian home. I was raised by a single mom and an amazing extended family. We were plugged into a precious church where we attended, served and led. Growing up around church and the message of the Gospel, it was a natural decision I came to at an early age to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
At the end of my high school career, I had an incredible opportunity to participate in a leadership program in Washington D.C. Sure enough, I caught a bad case of Potomac fever. I went off to Baylor to study Political Science. Baylor provided me with many wonderful opportunities and much growth on every level. After graduating from Baylor I chased my dream to Washington D.C.
While soaking up everything possible in the nation’s capital, I met my husband, Stewart. Stewart was serving in the United States Air Force. We started our married life together in Northern Virginia. We truly loved our time there but were ready to get home to the south to settle down. God brought us to the Dallas area.
After a few years, God blessed us with the precious gift of children. We have Miles (14), William (11) and Anna (11). God led us to Bright Beginnings Preschool when Miles was one and a half years old. I vividly remember looking at local preschools and finding a strong, genuine, nurturing love for children and desire to share God’s love with them at Bright Beginnings. Just what we were looking for! We quickly realized that love extended beyond our children to us. So, it was an easy decision for me to join the Bright Beginnings family as a teacher nine years ago. It is such an honor and privilege for me to now serve the most amazing teachers, sweetest families, and treasured children as the director of Bright Beginnings Preschool.
I am incredibly blessed to live and serve in this community through GracePoint, Bright Beginnings and local organizations with my children. We have been actively involved in our children’s schools, Mockingbird Elementary and Coppell Middle School East, serving in PTO, volunteering and loving on the teachers and staff. We look forward to being involved at the Coppell High School Ninth Grade Center and Coppell Middle School East this year.
We are Washington Redskins fans.
We love to serve together as a family, especially with All In Sports Outreach, an organization Stewart started with hometown friends.
I love mysteries.
I enjoy listening to sports radio.
