Director of Missions & Connections
As a child growing up watching my dad go year after year around the world on short-term mission trips, I have always loved hearing stories about all the people who heard the gospel and put their faith in Jesus Christ.
While studying music theory and composition at the University of South Carolina, I decided to give living overseas as a missionary a try. I spent a whole summer working as a missionary in the Philippines. During that time I learned so much, but mainly that I was not meant for overseas living. Instead, God put a call on my heart to those in the arts and entertainment industry.
After graduating from college, I did an internship at 2100 Productions in Madison, Wisconsin, then returned to school to get my Associates Degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail. This experience and degree gave me the confidence I needed to head to Los Angles and pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Like many who go to LA with big dreams, they were quickly shattered. But… my love for God and people never changed. When I did get a job, it was as VP of Web Development at an automotive performance parts distributor. This company moved me to Orange County and I joined Saddleback Church and began playing in their orchestra.
Throughout all my moving and adventures I always found a church home and continued taking short-term mission trips. It was my first trip with Saddleback to Rwanda in 2006 that sparked a new flame in me for missions. Soon after my first trip, I joined the staff at Saddleback serving singles and small groups.
In July 2009, I moved to Texas and joined the staff at First Baptist Church of Coppell, now called GracePoint Church. I have filled many roles at the church over the last 9 years, and am currently the Missions Director and oversee Guest Relations. I love the people of GracePoint and seeing how they love our community and the world like Jesus.
-I grew up and my parents still live in South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!).
-I have played cello since I was 9 years old and helped start (and am currently the President of) the Coppell Community Orchestra.
-I love boba tea… specifically lavender milk tea with boba.
-My dog has almost 10,000 followers on Instagram. He is way more popular than I will ever be… and I am ok with that.
